True Hope Academy

Knowledge is power. An education gives a young man or woman a better chance at achieving success. In an environment of rampant unemployment, the opportunity is hard to find and must be created. Our goal is to not only provide an education for our young people but also help them find employment opportunities.

The True Hope Academy education program begins in the orphanage with regular classes in fundamental courses. When a student reaches a point in his or her life when a vocational interest arises, we direct them through our Career Hope Initiative to the appropriate institution to pursue their dream. We not only provide advice and guidance, we also provide the funding for their education.

What happens to adult orphans when they leave the orphanage?

At 18, most orphans are expected to leave orphanages. But where do they go when there are few jobs. With no skills, it is impossible for these kids to get a job. Sadly, many of the girls end up on the streets selling their bodies to survive. We will not let that happen to our girls! Through Career Hope Initiative, we teach our young adults a skill and help them get a job.

Hope Through Education

Patricia Murphy English School is a part of True Hope Academy. Patricia visited Haiti for the first time in 2007. Her heart was captivated by the beautiful children and God instilled, in her, a desire to do her part to help these kids. Patricia went to be with the Lord in August 2018. In her memory, we established the Patricia Murphy English School to give children instruction in the English language. Our objective is to provide them with additional skills and give them a better chance of achieving a productive life. We pray God’s blessing on our school. We pray that He will be glorified in all that we seek to do for these children, in His name.
