As schools prepare to re-open in Haiti in August, we also prepare to resume our education and vocational training programs.
True Hope Academy will resume classes at Family Care Haiti orphanage. Our teachers are anxious to get back to work and our kids are excited…yes, excited about returning to school.
Christina and Jennifer will continue their vocational courses in cosmetology and Josue will pick up his plumbing classes at ACAM in Port au Prince.
Michelson wants to learn to operate heavy equipment and Gallardo wants to study plumbing. Minouche, who completed her course in hotel management, wants to learn English to better her chances of finding a job in a Port au Prince hotel.
A command of the English language gives all of our students a valuable tool. Through the Patricia Murphy English School, we teach basic English skills to help them succeed in a challenging economic environment in Haiti.
Of course, all these projects take money. We are truly grateful for the continued support for the monthly expenses at Family Care Haiti and the valued gifts towards our education programs. Our donation page allows you to specify the area of your support and your generosity is equipping otherwise helpless children and young people in their quests for a better life.
With your help, we continue to give “hope to the hopeless”.
C Thomas Murphy, President
