Two recent aid updates for Haiti:
The U.S. Government has committed $13.2 Million to fight the #COVID19 outbreak in #Haiti to support risk communication efforts, improved water and sanitation, infection prevention, #COVID19 case management, laboratories, and more.
The Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) approved a disbursement to Haiti under the Rapid Credit Facility (SDR) of 111.6 million US dollars to help cover the needs of the balance of payments resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic.
There are a reported 41 cases of Coronavirus and 3 deaths in Haiti. It is suspected that the virus has not reached its peak and the government continues to prepare for a worst case scenario.
With 10+ people living in a two-room house with no running water or septic, social distancing is impossible.
Our orphanage continues to do all possible to protect the kids and staff. Food sources are scarce and, as I’ve indicated in past posts, prices continue to soar.
Your support, both financial and prayer, is most appreciated.
